# Usage and live access

Understand what is metered today and what a live launch still requires.

Stage: sandbox beta. Live purchasing requires explicit activation.

## Sandbox billing

Sandbox workflows do not charge a payment method. /v1/billing/usage returns immutable all-time meter totals for the application; it is a usage view. /v1/billing/invoices reads the application's financial-document projection. An empty list means no projected invoices.

Credit balance returns enabled: false, available_minor: 0 and billing_mode: per_order_payment. Prepaid credit, automatic top-ups and net terms are disabled. Activated live purchasing uses per-order saved-card collection. The console does not offer purchasing credit or a working spend wallet.

## Live access

Live access is reviewed separately for the organization, product family, destination, daily order limit, currency and exposure limit. Paid API ordering additionally requires purchasing activation, a verified signed quote, saved-card consent and the human purchasing policy described in the paid-orders guide.

A live launch requires real upload/preflight, payment and tax handling, a recipient/consent policy, fulfilment integration proof, refunds and reconciliation, support procedures and commercial agreements.
