How to prepare a PDF for printing

Check page size, margins, orientation and filled fields before uploading a PDF for printing.

Check printing for my address

Check the saved PDF

Open the exported PDF and check that every expected page is present. Look at small text, images and filled form fields at a readable zoom. Export again if the saved file differs from the document you intended to print.

Match the paper and layout

Choose the paper size required by the recipient, such as A4 or Letter. Check orientation and margins: content close to an edge can be clipped when printed. Keep important text inside the printable area.

For double-sided documents, check the page order and intentional blank pages. Review the options offered for your order before selecting colour, copies or finishing.

Review the upload before paying

Use paperboy’s preview to check the file after upload. If a file cannot be opened or converted, resolve that problem before ordering. Keep the original editable document so you can correct the source and export a fresh PDF.
